The Yellow Jackets kept the momentum in set three firing off the first three points and then another nine in a row with McGilvery in service for the latter. Roanoke added a few points to get to 16-6 before R-MC found another run, this one of five in a row to get it to 20-6 with senior Samantha Sallade (Newport News, Va. / Peninsula Catholic) in service. The Yellow Jackets eventually put the Maroons away with a 25-8 set three victory. Clark had another five in the last frame, matching her best set of the night.

Defensively, Sallade was the team leader. She finished with 24 digs while senior Erin Quinn (Morrisville, N.C. / Cardinal Gibbons) added 14. Quinn was also the team's assist leader with 19. Tender totaled 15 assists as well. Senior Julia Stech (Chester, Va. / LC Bird) played two sets and racked up four digs in her time on the court.

Quinn was also key in service. She had two of the team's five service aces while Clark, McGilvery and Tender each finished with one.

R-MC also had a good night at the net with six team blocks. Clark had three, as did Fitzwater and senior Colleen Beaver (Fredericksburg, Va. / Massaponax). Seal, McGilvery and Wolfe added one each to the team's efforts.

Randolph-Macon is now 13-3 on the season and 5-0 in the ODAC. The team goes on the road to ODAC opponent Hollins next. That game is set for Tuesday, October 3 at 7:00 PM.
