2010 ODAC Tournament Champions

The R-MC Volleyball Team finished the regular season ranked 25th in the Nation in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Poll. R-MC posted a 9-1 conference record on the season that would tie for top of the conference. Randolph-Macon and Washington and Lee University made up one of three ties that dotted the conference standings heading into the 2010 ODAC Volleyball Tournament. The Generals earned the tourney's #1 seed over the second-seeded Yellow Jackets due to W&L's head-to-head victory over R-MC in the regular season. Entering the tournament as the #2 seed, the Jackets proved they were superier capturing the ODAC Title and earning an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.

In the first round, the Jackets earned the program's first NCAA Division III Tournament victory with a thrilling 3-2 win over Franklin & Marshall. After dropping the first game 23-25, R-MC  rallied to win the next two 25-21 and 25-17. The Diplomats earned a 25-23 victory in game four, before the Jackets closed out the match with a 15-13 decision in the fifth and deciding game. The team would advance to then take on top seeded Colorado College in the Regional Semifinals. The Jackets swept the #9 seeded tigers by game scores of 25-18, 25-23 and 25-21. The win marked the highest Nationally ranked opponent the Jackets have defeated in the program's 16-year history and was also punched their ticked to the first Regional Final in school history. The two wins in the tournament are the first NCAA victories in the 16 year of the program and gave R-MC 27 which is the second most in school history.

Several Yellow Jackets received honors on the season. Raena Winton was named to the 2010 VaSID First Team All-State Volleyball Team. Winton also received recognition as the ODAC Player of the Year for a second time as well as All ODAC Tournament Team and was named to the NCAA Division III Christopher Newport Regional All-Tournament team. Jessica Sears joined her teammate in the All-State honors earning Second Team All-State. Sear was also selected First-Team All-ODAC, ODAC Tournament Most Outstanding Player and was named to the Christopher Newport Regional All-Tournament team as well. Mallory Carter and Marli Dabareiner earned Second Team All-ODAC Honors.

The Yellow Jackets finished the season with an overall record of 27-8.
