2015 ODAC Tournament & Regular Season Champions
The Yellow Jackets were perfect in conference play compiling an 11-0 record and earning the title of ODAC Regular Season Champions. Heading into the ODAC Tournament as the #1 seed, the Jackets remained strong against conference opponents. R-MC swept Lynchburg in the Quarterfinals, swept Roanoke in the Semifinals, and defeated Virginia Wesleyan 3-1 in the championship. The Yellow Jackets won the first 25-11 and edged the Marlins, 25-20 in the second set. VWC took the third set 25-17 before the Yellow Jackets claimed R-MC's fourth ODAC volleyball title with a 25-20 victory in the fourth set. Courtney Lowers, Erinn Quinn and Samantha Sallade were all named to the ODAC All-Tournament Team.
With a conference championship in hand, Randolph-Macon received an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament where the Yellow Jackets would defeat Stevenson University 3-1 in the first round of the Tournament. The Yellow Jackets dropped the first set 25-22 before winning the next three sets 25-23, 25-19, 25-12 to claim the victory and advance to the semifinal round of the regional where they would take on #5 Christopher Newport. The Captains (30-3) took the opening game 25-21 before R-MC won 25-18 and 25-22 to take the lead. CNU posted a 25-20 victory in Game 4 before the Yellow Jackets pulled out a 15-13 win in Game 5. Backed by Courtney Lowers 25 kills and 25 digs, the Yellow Jackets edged the Captains 3-2 advancing to the Sweet Sixteen. Sam Sallade tallied 26 digs and broke the program record for digs in a season with 595 digs in 2015. With a win over Christopher Newport, the Jackets faced Stockton in the Galloway Regional Final of the NCAA Tournament. After sweeping Stockton, the Yellow Jackets advanced to the National Quarterfinals for the first time in school history. R-MC was defeated by Carthrage College in the quarterfinals in incredibly close matches. The Lady Reds (35-7) claimed the first set 25-23 and the second set 25-21. The Yellow Jackets (28-8) stretched the third set to extra points before falling 28-26. Randolph-Macon ended the season with an overall record of 28-8.
Numerous Yellow Jackets received post-season honors. Courtney Lowers was AVCA Third Team All-American, AVCA All-South Region, VaSID First Team All-State, First Team All-ODAC, Galloway NJ Regional All-Tournament Team (MVP), ODAC All-Tournament Team, ODAC Player of the Year, 3x ODAC Player of the Week, and AVCA Player of the Week. Erin Quinn was selected to the Second Team All-ODAC and ODAC All-Tournament Team. Katie Rossberg concluded her senior year receiving the following honors: VaSID Second Team All-State, First Team All-ODAC, Galloway NJ Regional All-Tournament Team, ODAC Player of the Week. Samantha Sallade was also selected AVCA All-South Region Honorable Mention, VaSID First Team All-State, First Team All-ODAC, Galloway NJ Regional All-Tournament Team, and ODAC All-Tournament Team.
