Cole Churchill is heading into his second season as an assistant on staff.
in 2026, he helped lead a defense that picked up 673 ground balls caused 212 turnovers and held opponents to five for 49 on extra-man opportunities for a percentage of .102 which ranked fourth in the nation.
Churchill returns to Randolph-Macon after spending two years in the USA South, as the Defensive Coordinator at Greensboro College. While at Greensboro, he helped the men's lacrosse program reach back-to-back USA South tournament appearances.
Before coaching at the collegiate level, Churchill was the Head Coach at Cedar Ridge High School in Hillsborough, North Carolina. He led the program to a record breaking 15-6 record, reaching the third round of the North Carolina High School state playoffs.
During his playing career at Randolph-Macon from 2016-2019, Churchill recorded 60 ground balls and 32 caused turnovers. During his Freshman season, he tallied 14 ground balls and finished third on the team with 10 caused turnovers. In his final season he was one of the team's top defenders with 15 caused turnovers.
Cole graduated from Randolph-Macon with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and minored in Mathematics in 2019. He was named to the dean's list all four years while at RMC, as well as the Ray Rostan Sportsmanship Award Winner in 2019.
